AYHA Pilots Hockey Lessons and Stick & Puck
Submitted By Valerie Young on Friday, September 08, 2017
AYHA is piloting programs for Hockey Lessons and Youth Stick & Puck for the 2017 - 2018 season. Neither program is currently offered by Bird Arena. Hockey lessons for goalies and skaters will be offered on Thursday evenings, $130 for a series of six lessons. Stick & Puck will be offered on Wednesday evenings, $45 for a series of five sessions.

Hockey Lessons are open to all ages. Skaters will work in groups of no more than 4. Goalies will work in groups of no more than 3. Each group will be instructed by an Ohio University ACHA Division I or Division II  player or coach. This is an ideal opportunity for a youth player to focus on skills and be mentored by an older, elite player. Registration is limited to ensure sufficient space for each group. Lessons begin September 21, 2017.   Register for Hockey Lessons

Youth Stick & Puck is open to players 10U (Squirt) through 18U / high school. Props and four goals will be set up to encourage small area games and self-directed tests of skill. Registration is limited to ensure sufficient space for each player. In southeastern Ohio, where you can't count on the water freezing outside, this is as close as your player can come to being on a pond in winter with friends. Full equipment is required. Stick & Puck begins September 20, 2017.  Register for Stick & Puck
