Athens Hockey Adopts Family For The Holiday Season.

Athens, OH - The Athens Hockey Varsity Team is making the holidays a little brighter for one family in Athens this year. The team hit the aisles at Wal-Mart to spend over $500 in donations for the family they adopted this season. "I like giving back and doing whatever I can to help others" said Wyatt Wood 16 Yr Old Junior at Athens High School. "We all had a budget and we did our best to provide the most for our adopted family." This annual holiday tradition is an important part of the team bonding experience. High School
For players enrolled in high school, participating in the Ohio Scholastic Hockey League (OSHL), in non-league games, and in tournaments. Experienced players can typically be added until December 15. New players can typically be added to practice, and possibly to team roster, until December 15. Coach evaluation required to determine readiness for practice and game play. We can work with a committed player on an individual development plan to prepare for team play. 
Players invited from southeastern Ohio school districts and from neighboring West Virginia.
