Athens opened 2019 play with two games against Bowling Green Select at Bird Arena. Hunter and Jaden recorded their first two goals of the season in Game 1. Jackson returned for Game 2, his first outing since breaking his arm in November, and had 2 assists. Ian played goal in Game 1, then debuted at wing in Game 2, while Owen ably covered goalie duties. Goals were scored by 9 different players, and assists by 7 different players.

December 16 marked the first league games for Athens 14U A Bronze in a month. The team traveled to Newark to win both games 6-1 at Lou & Gib Reese Ice Arena. Currently for the season, the team has 62 goals, 62 assists, and 62 penalty minutes.

Athens 14U travelled to Wooster, Ohio to meet Cleveland Sharks (#409 Brooklyn), an A1 team out of the Cleveland Suburban League. Athens was slow in Game 1 after their early morning drive, losing 8-1. After a fortifying team lunch at Beuhler's, the team showed far better pace and tenacity in Game 2, eventually losing 2-1, in spite of pulling the goalie in the final minute.

In their second league matchup of the season, Athens swept Dayton - Korchinski in Kettering, 6-0 and 6-1.

Athens made a strong showing on their first day of regular season league games, tying CCYHA - Gedman with 9 seconds to spare in the first game, and defeating them in the second game 6-2. This was in spite of having 8 players missing in Game #1 due to fall sports, and 6 players missing in Game 2.

"Travel A" level team for players born in 2004 and 2005, participating in the Buckeye Travel Hockey League (BTHL), in non-league games, and in tournaments. Experienced players can typically be added until December 15. New players can typically be added to practice, and possibly to team roster, until December 15. Coach evaluation required to determine readiness for practice and game play. We can work with a committed player on an individual development plan to prepare for team play.
