Bobcats "STUFF" Hilliard to Win Thanksgiving Classic

Lewis Center, OH-This 2010 Thanksgiving Weekend will be one to remember. The Varsity Bobcats went undefeated (4-0) to capture the 12th Annual Midwest Thanksgiving Classic.
The championship game featured Athens Bobcats with their 3-0 tournament seeding record (defeating Trinity, Toledo Central Catholic & St. Charles) against Hilliard Wildcats, also 3-0 in tournament seeding (defeating Indiana South, Montour & Upper Arlington.) The game remained scoreless until 4:58 remaining in period two as Athens' Nick Fischer scored a power play goal assisted by Henry Smith and Chris Corrigan.
Fischer scored goal 2 for Athens in period three with help from Senior, Matt Paulins. James Ervin added insurance scoring goal 3 assisted by Andrew Newton. Goaltender, Jake Bloomfield, earned his second shutout of the season with 21 saves.
Athens faces Hilliard again this Friday at Bird Arena, 8:00pm.
