Athens Hockey Adopts Family For The Holiday Season.
Athens, OH - The Athens Hockey Varsity Team is making the holidays a little brighter for one family in Athens this year.
The team hit the aisles at Wal-Mart to spend over $500 in donations for the family they adopted this season.
"I like giving back and doing whatever I can to help others" said Wyatt Wood 16 Yr Old Junior at Athens High School. "We all had a budget and we did our best to provide the most for our adopted family."
This annual holiday tradition is an important part of the team bonding experience. The Athens Varsity Hockey Team is made up of students from Southeast Ohio including Alexander, Athens, Logan, Meigs, Berne Union and Jackson High Schools.
