The Athens Varsity team under head coach Jack Pepper and assistant coach Mark Dean and coaches Ben Gilkey and James Ervin of the JV team spent the Thanksgiving holiday weekend in Beavercreek Beaver territory kicking ice and taking names. Athens finished 4-0 in the series, all hard fought battles, with well-mannered and equally skilled varsity teams from, Maumee, Beavercreek, and Troy High Schools and Indian Hills Winter Club. The final bout with Indian Hills was a spectacular finish with Athens rallying from a 3-0 deficit to win the championship title. Congratulations boys! Keep up the hard work!
