 General Guidelines For All Parents/Guardians

Parents are expected to model appropriate behavior for youth. If parents fail to meet these guidelines, the Board of AYHA may bar the parent(s) from AYHA activities or have their child expelled from the program. It is expected that parents:
 

Will support the development of all players in the AYHA program.

Will remain current with fees assessed for participation of their child(ren) in AYHA or arrange a payment plan.

Will encourage his/her child(ren) to abide by the player expectations described above and below.

Will assist in the fundraising efforts of AYHA.

Will assume responsibility for following through on player travel commitments and, when not possible, communicate directly to the coach about it.

Will notify the coach (in advance when possible) when the player is unable to participate in practices or games.

Will not use profanity or otherwise verbally abuse players, coaches, other fans,officials or others at any AYHA activity.

Will not interfere with the coach in the performance of his or her duties. Parents are encouraged to voice concerns with the coach of his/her child’s team but should do so in a respectful manner. If a parent is dissatisfied with the performance of a coach, he/she should forward the concern to the Board of the AYHA.

Will not participate in any AYHA activity while under the influence of alcohol or other drug.
